This is an original, unfolded, window card theatrical movie poster from 1970 for Patton starring George C. Scott, Karl Malden, Michael Bates, Ed Binns, and James Edwards. Franklin J. Schaffner directed the Academy Award-winning film.
The film had premiere screenings in New York and Los Angeles in February 1970 with a longer title "Patton: A Salute to a Rebel" and an "M for Mature" rating from the MPAA. By the time the film had a wide release in April, 20th Century Fox decided to shorten the title of the film to Patton and the MPAA had changed their M - Mature rating to GP - All Audiences. New posters were printed with the shorter title and new rating. This rare poster is from the very first batch of posters printed with the longer title and rating.
It measures 14” x 22” and is in very good condition with light wear and some areas of light discoloration along parts of the edges. It has never been folded. To prevent damage in shipping, the card will be shipped flat and not rolled.
Please look closely at the photos (this is the exact poster you are buying). It is not cropped or a stock image.
This rare and collectible poster, printed in 1970 to promote the theatrical release of Patton, is not a reproduction or a reprint.
