Hondo (1953)

This is an original, linen-backed, one-sheet movie poster from 1953 for the 3-D release of Hondo starring John Wayne, Geraldine Page, Ward Bond, Michael Pate, James Arness, and Rodolfo Acosta.  John Farrow directed the classic western that was released in 3-D and on 2-D in theaters without the proper equipment.  Posters were printed to advertise both versions and this poster advertises the 3-D version.

The poster measures 27" x 41" and has been linen-backed for long-term preservation and display.  It was in very good condition prior to restoration with pinholes and light tape residue on the corners/edges from theatrical display.  It was folded at the time of printing and had minor fold/cross-fold wear. The fold lines much less noticeable after restoration.  Linen-backed posters are stored flat and rolled for shipping in a rigid, tube mailer.

Please look closely at the photos (this is the exact poster you are buying).  The black circles in the corners of the poster are magnets and not pins.
