This is an original, Italian 2 fogli theatrical movie poster from the 1970s for a re-release of Planet of the Apes (1968) starring Charlton Heston, Roddy McDowall, Maurice Evans, Kim Hunter, James Whitmore and Linda Harrison. Franklin J. Schaffner directed the classic science fiction film.
The poster measures 39" x 55" and is in very good condition with creasing and tiny tears along parts of the outer white edge. The poster was folded at the time of printing and has some light creasing along parts of the folds from long-term storage. Most folds flatten out nicely for framing and are often desirable for vintage, collectible movie posters.
Please look closely at the photos (this is the exact poster you are buying). It is not a stock image. The black squares in the corners of the poster are magnets and not pins.
This rare and collectible poster, printed in the 1970s to promote a theatrical re-release of Planet of the Apes, is not a reproduction or a reprint.
