This is an original, rolled, Japanese B2 theatrical movie poster from 1977 for the initial release of The Shootist starring John Wayne, Lauren Bacall, Ron Howard, James Stewart, Richard Boone, John Carradine and Scatman Crothers. Don Siegel directed the cowboy western. Richard Amsel is the artist for the poster.
The poster measures 20 1/4" x 28 5/8" and is in very good condition with minor creasing along parts of the edges and some light spots of discoloration at the bottom edge. It has never been folded.
Please look closely at the photo (this is the exact poster you are buying). It is not cropped or a stock image. The black circles in the corners of the poster are magnets and not pins.
This rare and collectible poster, printed in 1977 to promote the Japanese theatrical release of The Shootist, is not a reproduction or a reprint.
