This is an original, German A1 theatrical movie poster from 1962 for the initial, theatrical release of Splendor in the Grass (1961) starring Natalie Wood, Pat Hingle, Audrey Christie, Warren Beatty and Barbara Loden. Elia Kazan directed the classic drama. Rolf Goetze is the artist for the poster.
The poster measures 23” x 33” and has been linen-backed for long-term preservation and display. Prior to linen-backing the poster was in very good condition with pinholes in the corners from theatrical display and some wear along the fold-lines near the top of the poster. It was folded at the time of printing. The folds are less noticeable after backing. Linen-backed posters are stored flat and rolled for shipping in a rigid, tube mailer.
Please look closely at the photos (this is the exact poster you are buying). It is not cropped or a stock image. The black circles in the corners of the poster are magnets and not pins.
