Chinatown (1974)

This is an original, linen-backed, South American one-sheet movie poster from 1975 for Chinatown starring Jack Nicholson, Faye Dunaway, John Huston, John Hillerman, Perry Lopez and Burt Young. Roman Polanski directed the classic crime film noir.  Jim Pearsall is the artist for the poster.

The poster measures 28" x 40.25" and has been linen-backed for long-term preservation and display. It was printed for use in South America but the exact country of origin is not known.  It was in good to very good condition prior to restoration with several, scattered pinholes from theatrical display and small tears and smudges along parts of the poster.  It was folded at the time of printing and had some wear and separations on some of the folds/cross-folds.  The fold lines are less noticeable after restoration.  Linen-backed posters are stored flat and will be rolled for shipping in a rigid, tube mailer.
