This is an original, half-sheet theatrical movie poster from 1934 for Moulin Rouge starring Constance Bennett, Franchot Tone, Tullio Carminati, Helen Westley, and Lucille Ball. Sidney Lanfield directed the classic musical comedy.
The poster measures 22” x 28” and is in very good to excellent, restored condition. It has been restored through gel-backing. Gel-backing is a type of poster restoration where a gel material is applied to the back of the poster allowing for any needed repairs. Once restoration is complete, the gel backing is carefully removed leaving only the original, restored poster without any additional backing.
Prior to restoration, the poster was a good condition with a few, tiny spots of paper loss, edge wear with some tiny tears, and an area of discoloration from previous exposure to moisture. The poster was folded after printing and had wear along parts of the folds. The folds are much less noticeable after restoration. The poster will be shipped flat to avoid any chance of damage.
Please look closely at the photo (this is the exact poster you are buying). It is not cropped or a stock image. The black squares in the corners of the poster are magnets and not pins.
