This is an original, French grande theatrical movie poster from 1976 for the initial release of Dog Day Afternoon starring Al Pacino, John Cazale, James Broderick, Charles Durning and Chris Sarandon. Sidney Lumet directed the New York-bank robbery film that was based on a true story. Rene Ferracci is the artist for the poster.
The poster measures 47.25" x 63" and is in very good to excellent condition with minimal wear from handling and storage. It was folded at the time of printing. Most folds flatten out nicely for framing and are often desirable for vintage, collectible movie posters.
Please look closely at the photo (this is the exact poster you are buying). It is not cropped or a stock image.
This rare and collectible poster, printed in 1976 to promote the French theatrical release of Dog Day Afternoon, is not a reproduction or a reprint.
