Star Wars (1977)

This is an original, linen-backed, Style A one-sheet movie poster from 1977 for Star Wars. The science fiction classic stars Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Alec Guinness, James Earl Jones, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker. George Lucas directed the film. Tom Jung is the artist for the poster.

Due to the huge response to the film in 1977, the Style A poster was printed four different times during the initial, theatrical run of Star Wars.  This poster is from the fourth printing (sometimes called the "Funky Text" version). 

The poster measures 27" x 41" and has been linen-backed for long-term preservation and display. It was in very good condition prior to backing with some minor edge and fold wear. The poster was tri-folded at the time of printing (without a vertical fold down the middle) but the fold lines are greatly reduced after linen-backing.
