This is an original, linen-backed, Australian daybill movie poster from 1970 the initial, theatrical theatrical release of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969) starring Paul Newman, Robert Redford, Katharine Ross, Strother Martin, Jeff Corey, and Ted Cassidy. George Roy Hill directed the classic western.
The poster measures 13.25” x 30” and has been linen-backed for long-term preservation and display. Prior to backing, the poster was in very good condition with minimal edge wear from previous handling. It was folded at the time of printing. The folds are much less noticeable after backing. Linen-backed posters are stored flat and rolled for shipping in a rigid, tube mailer.After backing, the poster acquired some tiny spots of discoloration around the edges of the linen. Some discolorationalso impacts the bottom quarter of the poster but is not very noticeable.
