    Why America (1969)

    • Film: Why America (Pourquoi L'Amerique) (1969)
      Year poster printed: 1969
      Country: France
      Size: 23.25" x 31.25"
      Artist: Georges Kerfyser

This is a rare, vintage French "affiche" movie poster from 1969 for the documentary film Pourquoi L'Amerique (released in English-speaking countries as "Why America"). Frédéric Rossif directed the film that examines life in the United States between World War I and World War II highlighting the political and social changes of that era. Georges Kerfyser is the artist for the poster.

The poster measures 23.25" x 31.25" and is in good to very good condition. The poster was originally folded but has been stored flat for many years. It will be shipped in a rigid tube mailer.

Please look closely at the photo (this is the exact poster you are buying). The small, black squares in the corners of the poster are magnets to hold the poster down.

This collectible poster, printed in 1969 for the initial French release of Pourquoi L'Amerique, is not a reproduction or a reprint.
