This is an original, Japanese two-panel theatrical movie poster from 1968 for The Trip starring Peter Fonda, Susan Strasberg, Dennis Hopper, Bruce Dern, and Salli Sachse. Roger Corman directed the psychedelic thriller from a script written by Jack Nicholson.
The Tatekan-style poster measures 20” x 57” and was printed in two sections designed to overlap. It is in good to very good condition with some minor creasing and edge wear from previous handling. The poster was tri-folded after printing and has some wear along some of the fold lines. It has been stored flat for many years and will be rolled for shipping in a rigid, tube mailer.
Please look closely at the photos (this is the exact poster you are buying). It is not cropped or a stock image. The black squares in the corners and edges of the poster are magnets and not pins.
This extremely rare and collectible poster, printed in 1968 to promote the Japanese theatrical release of The Trip, is not a reproduction or a reprint.
