Deer Hunter (1978)

This is an original, Argentine movie poster from 1979 for The Deer Hunter starring Robert De Niro, John Cazale, John Savage, Meryl Streep, Christopher Walken, and Chuck Aspegrent. Michael Cimino directed the Academy Award-winning film.

Tom Jung is the artist for the poster and he is one of the most respected movie poster artists from the past fifty years. His art for The Deer Hunter was only used in Latin America and was not featured in the US, European or Asian marketing for the film.

The poster measures 29.25” x 43.25” and is in very good condition with areas of  edge wear from previous handling, a small separation in the bottom cross-fold and a few surface stains. It was folded at the time of printing. Most folds flatten out nicely for framing and are often desirable for vintage, collectible movie posters. 

Please look closely at the photos (this is the exact poster you are buying). The small, black squares in the corners of the poster are magnets and not pins.
