This is an original French 2 panel movie poster from 1961 for Spartacus starring Kirk Douglas, Laurence Olivier, Jean Simmons, Charles Laughton, Peter Ustinov and Tony Curtis. Stanley Kubrick directed the classic film. Rene Peron is the artist for the poster.
The poster measures 61.75" x 92.5" and was printed in 2 sections designed to overlap. The poster is in very good condition. There are tiny tears at a number of the cross-folds and minor edge wear. The poster was folded at the time of printing. Most folds flatten out nicely for framing and are often desirable for vintage, collectible movie posters.
Please look closely at the photo (this is the exact poster you are buying). This very rare and collectible poster, printed in 1961 to promote the French theatrical release of Spartacus, is not a reproduction or a reprint.
The small, black squares in the corners and edges of the poster are magnets and not pins.
