This is an original, Argentinian movie poster from 1955 for Springfield Rifle starring Gary Cooper, Phyllis Thaxter, David Brian, Paul Kelly, Alan Hale Jr. and Lon Chaney. Andre DeToth directed the western Civil War film.
The poster measures 29" x 43.25" and has been linen-backed for long-term preservation and display. The poster was in very good condition prior to linen-backing with some darkening from age, minor fold and edge wear and a few stains around the edges. Linen-backed posters are stored flat and rolled for shipping in a rigid, tube mailer.
Please look closely at the photo (this is the exact poster you are buying). The small, black squares in the corners of the poster are magnets to hold the poster down and are not pins.
This rare and collectible poster, printed in 1955 for the initial Argentine theatrical release of Springfield Rifle, is not a reproduction or a reprint.
