This is a rare, vintage Italian two-sheet movie poster from a 1973 theatrical re-release of Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb. The classic Cold War comedy stars Peter Sellers, George C. Scott, Slim Pickens and Sterling Hayden. The film was directed by Stanley Kubrick.
Referred to in Italy as a 2 Fogli, the poster measures 39” x 55”. The poster is in very good condition with minor edge wear and a small amount of tape residue on the top edge. Italian two-sheet posters are folded before being shipped to theaters for display. Most folds flatten out nicely for framing and are often desirable for vintage, collectible movie posters. This poster has minimal fold wear and displays nicely.
Please look closely at the photo (this is the exact poster you are buying). It is an authentic, collectible Italian movie poster printed in 1973 to promote a theatrical re-release of Dr. Strangelove. It is not a reproduction or a reprint. The black squares in the corners of the poster are magnets and not pins.
