This is an original French theatrical movie poster from 1976 for the initial release of Dog Day Afternoon starring Al Pacino, John Cazale, James Broderick, Charles Durning and Chris Sarandon. Sidney Lumet directed the New York-bank robbery film that was based on a true story. Rene Ferracci is the artist for the poster.
The moyenne (medium size) poster measures 23.5" x 31.5" and is in very good to excellent condition with minimal wear from handling. It was folded at the time of printing but has been stored flat for may years. It will be rolled for shipping in a rigid, tube mailer.
Please look closely at the photos (this is the exact poster you are buying). It is not cropped or a stock image. The black circles in the corners of the poster are magnets and not pins.
This rare and collectible poster, printed in 1976 to promote the French theatrical release of Dog Day Afternoon, is not a reproduction or a reprint.
