This is an original, French theatrical movie poster from 1978 for The Last Waltz featuring The Band (comprised of Rick Danko, Levon Helm, Garth Hudson, Richard Manuel and Robbie Robertson) during their “farewell” performance at San Francisco’s Winterland Ballroom in 1976. The film features appearances and performances by Eric Clapton, Neil Young, Neil Diamond, Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Emmylou Harris, Van Morrison, Dr. John, Muddy Waters, Paul Butterfield, Ringo Starr and Ron Wood. Martin Scorsese directed the film.
The petite poster measures 15.75” x 21.25” and is in very good to excellent condition with a distributor sticker (or snipe) from MGM at the bottom of the poster. It was folded in half at the time of printing but has been stored flat for many years. The poster will be rolled for shipping in a rigid, tube mailer.
Please look closely at the photo (this is the exact poster you are buying). It is not cropped or a stock image. The black circles in the corners of the poster are magnets and not pins.
