This is an original, rolled, British quad theatrical movie poster from 1978 for a theatrical re-release of Monterey Pop featuring Jimi Hendrix, The Who, Jefferson Airplane, the Mamas & the Papas, Simon & Garfunkel and Otis Redding. D.A. Pennebaker directed the classic music documentary about the 1967 Monterey International Pop Festival.
The poster measures 29" x 39.5" (it has not been trimmed) and is in very good to excellent condition with minimal edge creasing from handling. It has never been folded.
Please look closely at the photos (this is the exact poster you are buying). It is not cropped or a stock image. The black squares in the corners of the poster are magnets and are not pins.
This rare and collectible poster, printed in 1978 to promote a British theatrical re-release of Monterey Pop, is not a reproduction.
