This is an original, linen-backed, Spanish one-sheet movie poster from 1972 for The Godfather starring Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, James Caan, Robert Duvall, Diane Keaton, Talia Shire and John Cazale. Francis Ford Coppola directed the Academy Award-winning film based on the book by Mario Puzo. S. Neil Fujita is the artist for the poster.
The poster measures 28" x 41" and has been linen-backed for long-term preservation and display. The poster was in good to very good condition prior to restoration with pinholes from theatrical display and creasing and wear along parts of the edges. It was folded at the time of printing and there were creases and a few small tears along some of the folds. The folds are much less noticeable after restoration.
Please look closely at the photos (this is the exact poster you are buying). It is not cropped or a stock image. The black circles in the corners of the poster are magnets and not pins.
This very rare and collectible poster, printed in 1972 to promote the initial, theatrical release of The Godfather, is not a reproduction or a reprint.
