Chinatown (1974)

This is an original, one-sheet movie poster from 1974 for Chinatown starring Jack Nicholson, Faye Dunaway, John Huston, John Hillerman, Perry Lopez and Burt Young. Roman Polanski directed the classic crime film noir.  Jim Pearsall is the artist for the poster.

The poster measures 27" x 41" and has been linen-backed for long-term preservation and display. The poster was in good to very good condition prior to backing with scattered, light creases/tiny surface scuffs and a few, tiny tears and smudges on the white edges from previous handling.  It was folded at the time of printing and had some  wear and creasing along the folds and cross-folds.  There is some writing and a stamp on the lower-right corner likely placed during theatrical display.  This poster was backed in the European style without restoration.
