This is an original Austalian movie poster from 1962 for Lolita starring James Mason, Shelley Winters, Peter Sellers, Sue Lyon and Gary Cockrell. Stanley Kubrick directed the classic film based on the novel by Vladimir Nabokov.
The daybill poster measures 13.5" x 30.25" and has been linen-backed for long-term preservation and display. The poster was was in excellent condition prior to linen-backing with minimal edge and fold wear. It was folded at the time of printing but the folds are much less noticeable after backing. Linen-backed posters are stored flat and rolled for shipping in a rigid, tube mailer.
Please look closely at the photos (this is the exact poster you are buying). The black circles in the corners of the poster are magnets and not pins.
This very rare and collectible poster, printed in 1962 to promote the Australian theatrical release of Lolita, is not a reproduction or a reprint.
