This is an original, unfolded, window card theatrical movie poster from 1934 for the documentary The First World War with narration by Pedro de Cordoba. The film, which was shown in the U.S. throughout 1935, used newsreel footage from World War I and was based on a book by Lawrence Stallings. This poster advertised a May 30, 1935 premiere at a cinema called the Woodstock Theater.
The poster measures 14” x 22” and is in very good condition with a few pinholes from theatrical display and a few, tiny creases from previous handling. The poster has slightly darkened over time and has never been folded. The poster will be shipped flat to avoid damage.
Please look closely at the photos (this is the exact poster you are buying). It is not cropped or a stock image.
This extremely rare and collectible poster, printed in 1934 to promote the theatrical release of The First World War, is not a reproduction or a reprint.
