This is an original, linen-backed, one-sheet movie poster from 1940 for Alfred Hitchcock's Foreign Correspondent starring Joel McCrea, Laraine Day, Herbert Marshall, George Sanders, Albert Bassermann, Robert Benchley, and Edmund Gwenn. Alfred Hitchcock directed the classic suspense thriller.
The poster measures 27" x 41" and has been linen-backed for long-term preservation and display. It was in very good condition prior to restoration with pinholes in the corners from theatrical display, some small wear in the corners and along parts of the white edges, and small separations along parts of the fold lines. The poster was folded at the time of printing but the folds are much less noticeable after backing. Linen-backed posters are stored flat and rolled for shipping in a rigid, tube mailer.
Please look closely at the photos (this is the exact poster you are buying). The black circles in the corners of the poster are magnets and not pins.
This extremely rare and collectible poster, printed in 1940 for the initial, theatrical release of Foreign Correspondent, is not a reproduction or a reprint.
