This is an original, one-sheet movie poster from 1955 for the initial, theatrical release of Rebel Without a Cause starring James Dean, Natalie Wood, Sal Mineo, Jim Backus, Edward Platt, and Dennis Hopper. Nicholas Ray directed the classic drama. James Dean died in an automobile accident in September 1955 shortly before the release of the film.
The poster measures 27" x 41" and has been linen-backed for long-term preservation and display. The poster was in very good condition prior to restoration with tiny, pinholes on parts of the white border from theatrical display. It was folded after printing and had a partial, extra vertical fold along with some tiny amounts of paper loss along parts of the folds/cross-folds. The folds are much less noticeable after restoration. Linen-backed posters are stored flat and rolled for shipping in a rigid, tube mailer.Please look closely at the photos (this is the exact poster you are buying). It is not cropped or a stock image.
