This is an original, one-sheet movie poster from 1975 for the U.S. theatrical release of Tidal Wave starring Lorne Greene, Keiju Kobayashi, Rhonda Leigh Hopkins, Hiroshi Fujioka, and Tetsuro Tanba. Shiro Moritani directed the Japanese disaster thriller. John Solie is the artist for the poster.
The film was released in Japan in 1973 as Nippon Chinbotsu and was the highest grossing film of the year. Roger Corman purchased the U.S. distribution rights and subsequently re-edited the movie and added new footage shot by director Andrew Meyer for the 1975 U.S. theatrical release.
The poster measures 27” x 41” and is in very good to excellent condition with minimal edge and fold wear. It was folded at the time of printing and there are small separation at the bottom cross-fold. Most folds flatten out nicely for framing and are often desirable for vintage, collectible movie posters.
