This is an original three-sheet movie poster from 1962 for a theatrical re-release of Walt Disney's Pinocchio. The classic film features the voices of Dickie Jones (as Pinocchio), Cliff Edwards (as Jiminy Cricket), Christian Rub (as Gepetto), Evelyn Venable, Mel Blanc, Walter Catlett and Frankie Darro. Hamilton Luske and Ben Sharpsteen directed the puppet fantasy.
The poster measures 41” x 84” (as a brief experiment in the early 1960s, Walt Disney Pictures some three-sheet posters slightly larger than usual) and is in very good condition with minor creases, edge wear and tiny tears along the fold-lines that were on the outside when the poster was fully folded. There is some darkening on the back of the part of the poster from long-term storage. This has no effect on the front of the poster. It was printed in two sections designed to overlap and was folded at the time of printing. Most folds flatten out nicely for framing and are often desirable for vintage, collectible movie posters.
Please look closely at the photos (this is the exact poster you are buying). It is not cropped or a stock image.
This rare and collectible poster, printed in 1962 to promote a theatrical re-release of Pinocchio, is not a reproduction or a reprint.
