This is an original, French grande movie poster from 1959 for Some Like It Hot starring Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis, Jack Lemmon, George Raft, Pat O'Brien, and Joe E. Brown. Billy Wilder directed the classic crime comedy. Boris Grinsson is the artist for the poster.
The poster measures 47.25" x 63" and is in very good condition with extremely faint ink transfer in the upper-right and left background from long term storage. The poster was folded at the time of printing and has small tears at some of the cross-folds. Most folds flatten out nicely for framing and are often desirable for vintage, collectible movie posters.
Please look closely at the photo (this is the exact poster you are buying). It is not cropped or a stock image. The black squares in the corners of the poster are magnets and not pins.
This extremely rare and collectible poster, printed in 1959 to promote the French theatrical release of Some Like It Hot, is not a reproduction or a reprint.
