Film: The Longest Day (1962)
Year poster printed: 1969 (theatrical re-release in France)
Country: France
Size: 47" x 62.75"
"This is the day that changed the world... When the thousand thousands swept the beach... When history held its breath."
This is an original French Grande movie poster from 1969 for a theatrical re-release of The Longest Day starring John Wayne, Richard Burton, Red Buttons, Sean Connery, Fabian, Mel Ferrer, Henry Fonda, Roddy McDowall, Robert Mitchum, George Segal and Rod Steiger. Ken Annakin and Andrew Marton directed the classic World War II film. The movie was initially released in 1962 and was theatrically re-released in 1969 for the 25th anniversary of D-Day (as noted on the poster).
The poster measures exactly 47" x 62.75" and is in very good condition with minor edge and fold wear. Like all French one panel posters, it was folded at the time of printing. Most folds flatten out nicely for framing and are often desirable for vintage, collectible movie posters.
Please look closely at the photo (this is the exact poster you are buying). This rare and collectible poster, printed in 1969 to promote a theatrical re-release of The Longest Day, is not a reproduction or a reprint.
The small, black squares in the corners and edges of the poster are magnets and not pins.
