From Russia with Love (1963)

This is an original, linen-backed, Italian fotobusta movie poster from 1964 for the first theatrical release of From Russia with Love starring Sean Connery, Robert Shaw, Pedro Armendariz, Lotte Lenya, Bernard Lee and Daniela Bianchi. Terence Young directed the James Bond film.  Averardo Ciriello is the artist for the poster.

The poster measures 18.25" x 26.75" and has been linen-backed for long-term preservation and display. It was in good to very good condition prior to restoration with a few scattered creases, scuffs, and pinholes in the corners from theatrical display.  It poster was folded at the time of printing and had two extra vertical folds to the left and right of the regular one.  Linen-backed posters are stored flat and rolled for shipping in a rigid, tube mailer.

The artwork for this poster was used for a 1970s theatrical re-release however those fotobusta posters have different printer information and are easily distinguished from the 1964 first release poster.

Please look closely at the photos (this is the exact poster you are buying). It is not cropped or a stock image.  The black circles in the corners of the poster are magnets and not pins.

This extremely rare and collectible poster, printed in 1964 to promote the initial, Italian theatrical release of From Russia with Love, is not a reproduction or a reprint.
