This is an original, Italian movie poster from 1964 for Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb. The classic Cold War comedy stars Peter Sellers, George C. Scott, Slim Pickens and Sterling Hayden. The film was directed by Stanley Kubrick.
This extremely scarce and collectible poster, printed in 1964 to promote a initial release of Dr. Strangelove in Italy, is not a reproduction or a reprint.
Referred to in Italy as a Quattro Fogli, the poster measures 55” x 78”. It is printed in two sections designed to overlap and is in very good to excellent condition. Italian two-panel posters are folded before being shipped to theaters for display. Most folds flatten out nicely for framing and are often desirable for vintage, collectible movie posters.
Please look closely at the photos (this is the exact poster you are buying). The black squares in the corners of the poster are magnets.
