Paths of Glory (1957)

This is an original, linen-backed, one-sheet movie poster from 1958 for the initial, theatrical release of Paths of Glory starring Kirk Douglas, Ralph Meeker, Adolphe Menjou, George Macready, Wayne Morris, Richard Anderson, Emile Meyer, and Joe Turkel.  Stanley Kubrick directed the classic World War I film based on a novel by Humphrey Cobb.  The film had a premiere in the last week of 1957 before being released in select theaters in early 1958.

The poster measures 27" x 41" and has been linen-backed for long-term preservation and display. The poster was in very good condition prior to restoration with pinholes from theatrical display and a few light smudges on parts of the edges from handing.  It was folded at the time of printing and had wear and some tiny bits of paper loss along some of the folds and cross-folds.  The folds are much less noticeable after linen-backing and restoration. Linen-backed posters are stored flat and rolled for shipping in a rigid, tube mailer.
