This is an original, linen-backed, Australian daybill theatrical movie poster from 1969 for Midnight Cowboy starring Dustin Hoffman, Jon Voight, Brenda Vaccaro, John McGiver, and Sylvia Miles. John Schlesinger directed the classic film based on the novel by James Leo Herlihy.
The poster measures 12.75” x 30” and has been linen-backed for long-term preservation and display. Prior to restoration, the poster was in very good condition with tiny staple holes around the edges from theatrical display. It was folded at the time of printing. The folds are much less noticeable after backing. Linen-backed posters are stored flat and rolled for shipping in a rigid, tube mailer.
