This is an original, linen-backed, one-sheet theatrical movie poster from 1958 for The Bridge on the River Kwai starring William Holden, Alec Guinness, Jack Hawkins, and Sessue Hayakawa. David Lean directed the classic World War II film.
The Style A poster measures 27" x 41" and has been linen-backed for long-term preservation and display. The poster was in very good condition prior to restoration with pinholes around the edges from theatrical display. There was some writing and the usual National Screen Service stamp on the back of the poster that somewhat bled through to the front at the bottom of the poster. It was folded at the time of printing and had some minor fold and cross-fold wear. The folds are much less noticeable after backing. Linen-backed posters are stored flat and rolled for shipping in a rigid, tube mailer.
Please look closely at the photos as this is the exact poster you are buying. The black circles in the corners of the poster are magnets and not pins.
