    Battlestar Galactica (1978)

Please notify me when this poster is available:

    • This is an original New York subway movie poster from 1979 for Battlestar Galactica starring Richard Hatch, Dirk Benedict and Lorne Greene. The movie was directed by Richard A. Colla. Robert Tanenbaum is the artist for the poster.

The film was released internationally in theaters in 1978 but aired originally on American television as a three hour pilot for the Battlestar Galactica television series.  Universal Studios later released the film in U.S. theaters on May 18, 1979.

The poster measures 45" x 57.25" and was printed for use in the New York subway system to promote the theatrical release of the film.  It is in very good condition with some wear and small tears along the right edge from previous handling. The poster was folded at the time of printing. Most folds flatten out nicely for framing and are often desirable for vintage, collectible movie posters.

Please look closely at the photos (this is the exact poster you are buying).

This very rare and collectible poster, printed in 1979 to promote the New York theatrical release of Battlestar Galactica, is not a reproduction or a reprint.
