Poseidon Adventure (1972)

This is an original, linen-backed, half-sheet theatrical movie poster from 1972 for The Poseidon Adventure starring Gene Hackman, Ernest Borgnine, Red Buttons, Roddy McDowall, and Shelley Winters. Ronald Neame and Irwin Allen directed the classic ocean-liner disaster film. Mort Kunstler is the artist for the poster.

The poster measures 22" x 28" and has been linen-backed for long-term preservation and display. The poster was in good condition prior to restoration with pinholes on the edges from theatrical display, a few surface smudges, a surface scuff just below and to the left of the center of the poster, and some creasing/wear along the fold lines.  The poster was folded at the time of printing however the fold lines are less noticeable after restoration. Linen-backed posters are stored flat and rolled for shipping in a rigid, tube mailer.  At some point, the excess linen was trimmed away (likely for framing).  

Please look closely at the photos (this is the exact poster you are buying). The small, black circles in the corners of the poster are magnets to hold the poster down. They are not pins.
