Annie Hall (1977)

This is an original, linen-backed, one sheet movie poster from 1977 for Annie Hall starring Woody Allen, Diane Keaton, Tony Roberts, Carol Kane, Paul Simon, Shelley Duvall and Christopher Walken. Woody Allen also wrote and directed the film that won the Academy Award for Best Picture in 1978.

The poster was initially released to the theaters with the tagline "A Nervous Romance." Studio executives were objected and the poster was reissued with the benign tagline "A New Comedy." This rare, unrevised poster is from the first printing that was issued to theaters.

The poster measures 27" x 41" and has been linen-backed for long-term preservation and display. The poster was in very good condition prior to restoration with a few, small spots of disoloration near the lower-left edge. It was folded at the time of printing and has some wear and creasing along parts of the folds. The fold lines are less noticeable after backing. Linen-backed posters are stored flat and rolled for shipping in a rigid, tube mailer.
