This is an original, linen-backed, one-sheet movie poster from 1969 for the initial, X-rated theatrical release of Midnight Cowboy starring Dustin Hoffman, Jon Voight, Brenda Vaccaro, John McGiver, and Sylvia Miles. John Schlesinger directed the classic film based on the novel by James Leo Herlihy.
The poster measures 27" x 41" and has been linen-backed for long-term preservation and display. The poster was in very good condition prior to linen-backing with some minor scuffs on the bottom right. It was folded at the time of printing and had wear alomng parts of the folds. The fold lines are much less noticeable after linen-backing. Linen-backed posters are stored flat and rolled for shipping in a rigid, tube mailer.
