This is an original, linen-backed, one-sheet movie poster from 1935 for The Scotland Yard Mystery starring Gerald du Maurier, George Curzon, Grete Natzler, and Belle Chrystall. Thomas Bentley directed the English horror thriller that was re-titled The Living Dead for the U.S. theatrical release.
The poster measures 27" x 41" and has been linen-backed for long-term preservation and display. The poster was in very good condition prior to restoration with minor fold wear. There was a 2 inch tear at the top edge and 1 inch tear at the bottom-center of the poster. These were repaired during the restoration process. Linen-backed posters are stored flat and rolled for shipping in a rigid, tube mailer.
Please look closely at the photos (this is the exact poster you are buying). The small, black circles in the corners of the poster are magnets and not pins.
This extremely rare and collectible movie poster, printed in 1935 to promote the US theatrical release of The Scotland Yard Mystery (The Living Dead), is not a reproduction or a reprint.
