This is an original, subway theatrical movie poster from 1982 for John Carpenter's The Thing starring Kurt Russell, Wilford Brimley, T.K. Carter, David Clennon, Keith David, Richard Masur, and Donald Moffat. John Carpenter directed the science fiction horror film. Drew Struzan is the artist for the poster.
The poster was printed for use in transit displays and measures 45” x 60”. It is in very good condition with light surface creasing/surface wear and some spots of light discoloration from previous exposure to moisture. The was folded at the time of printing and has minor wear/creasing along some of the folds from long-term storage. Most folds flatten out nicely for framing and are often desirable for vintage, collectible movie posters
