This is an original, English six-sheet movie poster from 1926 for The Unnamed Woman starring Katherine MacDonald, Herbert Rawlinson, Wanda Hawley, Leah Baird, and John Miljan. Harry O. Hoyt directed the silent, love triangle comedy.
The film was released in the United Kingdom on July 5, 1926 and this incredibly rare poster was printed to promote that release.
Referred to in the UK as a twelve sheet (as it is roughly twelve times the size of a British double crown poster), it measures 79" x 88.25" and is in very good condition for a poster of this size and age. It was printed in six sections designed to overlap. There is some minor darkening on the back of the poster from storage but this has no effect on the front. The poster has some creases, smudges, tiny tears on a few fold lines, and some pinhole-size tears at a few of the cross-folds. The poster was folded at the time of printing in 1926. Most folds flatten out nicely for framing and are often desirable for vintage, collectible movie posters.
Please look closely at the photo (this is the actual poster you will receive). The small black squares in the corners and sides of the photo are magnets to hold the poster down and are not pins.
This rare and collectible poster, printed in 1926 to promote the British theatrical release of The Unnamed Woman, is not a reproduction a reprint.
